          Course Objectives:

          Due to an increased in noted prevalence, dental erosion is a growing concern for our dental patients. Explanation of risk factors and prevention and treatment strategies for reducing its occurrence is an important part of overall patient care.

          After completing this course the participant should be able to:

          Define tooth erosion
           
          Describe the etiology of dental erosion
           
          Perform a risk assessment of patients for dental erosion
           
          Educate patients on their risk for dental erosion
